Re: CCSVI INTERVENTON. NOW I KNOW!!!

Great news. Can you tell us if you had MS? If so, was it RRMS, SPMS or PPMS?

Dr. Cicero Coimbra, MD, PHD, Neurologist, Professor and Researcher from Universidade Federal de São Paulo. I believe he went to medical school in the USA, this is mentioned in one of his videos.

Re: How do I buy HSCT treatment?

I'm very leery of overseas stem cell clinics - however, if you google Holly Huber, you will see lots of blogs on her positive outcome getting stem cell treatments in Central America.

Supplements and safety

I know a lot of us take supplements. I'm a proponent, but be careful - there is no regulation or testing in the USA, up to 60% of supplements are not what they say. Here is the Frontline story on this.

I believe Tisch is concentrating on PPMS with this trial. MSC is very different from HCST.

Re: about high dose vitamin D treatment

I'm also very interested in Coimbra's protocol. It's very frustrating trying to get helpful info since 90% of what's out there is in Portuguese. The big question I have - is it effective for all types of MS, or just stopping relapses? I suspect there aren't many doctors here in the US and Europe usi...

A very nice post. The Tisch MS center is one I feel is doing the right things, and is not funded by big pharma.

Re: HELP PLEASE. HOW TO TREAT THIS DECEASE

tzootsi, thanks is 5000 IU ok for everyday use? I'm not a doctor, but I believe 5,000 iu of vitamin d is perfectly safe. My wife has been taking 10,000 iu for several months. Dr. Cicero Coimbra, a neurologist in Brazil, treats his MS patients with huge (50,000-100,000) daily doses. He said that up ...

Re: HELP PLEASE. HOW TO TREAT THIS DECEASE

One inexpensive natural thing to take is vitamin d3. Vitamin d is often very low in people with ms, especially if you don't get much sun. I am not a doctor, but from all that I've read people with ms should be taking at least 5,000 iu of vitamin d3 a day. Vitamin D may help control the immune system...

Antonio, thanks for the information. I'm trying to determine if Dr Coimbra's treatment is effective for PPMS where there are no relapses, just walking problems.

Re: New treatment forum - Biotin

My wife has a mild case of PPMS, has been on approx 250 mg of pure biotin for 4 months. She has seen some small improvements already - purple foot is now normal looking, better bladder, more comfortable lying in bed.

What I'm trying to determine is if the D protocol is to prevent relapses, or will it also help PPMS?
