Hi Bromley, Of course it's terrible to have a dx of MS. Who would want it? I, like you, have lived my life in a very clean-living way. The reality is, and not wanting to lapse into cliches, but bad things happen to good people. No, life will not continue as it was. It never does. I do see MS as a te...

Hello all,

I find this strand and your posts sooooooooo interesting. I was wondering, though, Deb, what you meant by "umbrella" ideas. I haven't heard that before. Could you please explain?

Thanks!

Hello!

Thanks for sharing your good news. I like the idea of yoga and will have to try it. As for diet, I love the Swank diet and have followed it for a year now. I also cut out anything sweeter than fruit.

Good luck to all!

Hi all, I've been on Rebif for almost a year now. I began in July of 03. In April 03 I had had a relapse involving spasticity, gait, balance and numbness in the left leg and a little in the right leg. I had only had symptoms four years ago (optic neuritis, tingling in limbs, numbness in feet...) and...

Hi OneEyeBlind and all!

OneEye, I'm doing well. I am still--very slowly--gaining stamina and walking ability and, other than that, no new symptoms! That makes me very happy! :)

And you? How are you doing?

peace,

Hi Felly, Which dosage are you on? I found the lower dosage (20) to be easier than the higher one (44). The higher one has given me more bruising and discoloration, although I've found an ice pack before and after helps. Glad to hear you are not experiencing bad side effects. Keep us posted. jazzcat

Hi all, I've been on Rebif for close to a year. I've tolerated it well and haven't experienced anything other than site reactions (bruising and/or redness) or during the first day on it blurry vision. I have been stable on it. No relapses since, only a little tingling that comes and goes usually upo...

mononucleosis and ms

Hi all, Just curious as to how many of you had mononucleosis at some time. I am curious about having mononuclerosis and a possible relationship to the later development of MS. I had mono when I was nineteen and turned twenty. My liver and spleen swelled and I would get swollen lymph nodes for years ...

Hi again, One Eye Blind (and all), I'm glad you found the Swank Foundation website, as it is, I believe, an interesting site for people concerned about MS. It's interesting that the 'numbness upon waking' strand resonated with you. I believe that there are other reasons that one can get numbness upo...

re: probable MS

Hi One Eye Blind, I am writing to you to let you know that my own history with MS was that I had optic neuritis in 99. I then had steroid treatment for it, as I was told it could develop into MS later. For a few months, I had a few symptoms (numbness, tingling, shocks) and then the symptoms went awa...
