I have recently learnt iam slightly short sighted, and dont know but dont think ive had optic neuritis

I am also partially color blind with blue/red colors

so is there anything i can do/take to improve my far vision?
for every day living theres no problems unless im at work
as i work at a desk which is 1 metre from the screen, which istoo far to read fior me, so i end up leaning forwards,
i dont want to go closer as it will harm my eyes/vision

i do have glasses with a small myopic prescription but they only slightly improve the focus when reading
but sometimes it is clearer without the glasses, which does confuse the situation

as a few years ago i didnt have any problems i assume its MS related rather than my eyes

any tips?

Try lots of fresh carrot juice and I have found turmeric and axasthanin (12mg) has helped my eyes x
I have had ON about. 8 times in 4 years but since starting these a few months ago vision has improved x

Hi dc10,

Have you had an eye exam recently? They will be able to tell you if you have optic neuritis or need a stronger prescription for your glasses. I had ON three times 15+ years ago and nothing since......and no evidence of it now. Just got a slightly stronger prescription myself two weeks ago.

Let's start from the fact that your prescription is just plain wrong!
If you are myoptic, then ...
Reading, Using a PC, and Distance, all need different prescriptions.

You should seek out a good optometrist and get a proper test. However ...
My suggestion would be to go into a supermarket (think Walmart size, or Tesco) and check out their reading glasses.
You can find what strength works for you at reading distance, and at the distance that works for a monitor.
This will almost certainly mean two pairs - but since each one only costs peanuts, this is a good way to start.
The optometrist will sort you out for distancce vision.
What you don't want yet is varifocal lenses - they take a lot of getting used to (but you may eventually need some).

I get by with bifocals, but I have a large monitor set at 1024 x 768 rather than a really hi-res setting. This means that text on the screen is just that little bit larger. Then you can adjust brightness and contrast so that you can work at a comfortable distance.

alpha lipoic acid works for am and sharpens my vision.

Try:

ginkgo, zinc, salmon oil, flaxseed oil.

All these help me. Also colloidal silver, but you know, controversial. Also tried clarithromycin and olmesartan, good results as well.
