i am in tears this morning over the loss of someone i hardly knew.. but so many ppl from high school have died now and we're not even 40.. a lovely girl whom i have not seen in years was hit by a car while biking yesterday and has died from her injuries. i am so sad for her and her family :cry:

I'm sorry for your loss jimmy, and sorry to hear that so many people from your high school have died!

thanks guys. it's crazy. there have been a slew of pedestrian fatalities in toronto recently too. on the other hand while commuting i have seen cyclist groups out on a hilly winding road with no bike lane, not riding single file, waving 4 cars to pass them when we can't see anything about oncoming conditions. i think there is room for improvement on both sides of the issue but it is horrible that in the meantime so many people are dying.

dignan i don't know about most high schools but at mine i can think of 7 right off the top of my head that did not make it to age 20.

That sounds like a lot of premature deaths. By the time of my 10 year reunion I knew of only one person who had died out of a class of 500 ish. A classmate who died last year was living in Ottawa. Maybe it's Ontario that's the problem? That would make for a good tourism slogan, Ontario: look out.

yea no kidding. only 2 were health issues the rest were just nasty more or less accidents.
active members shape site content. if there is a problem, speak up!
