Belou, vous etes, trés droll, je pense. Ou beaucoups des verres de vin ce soir! Rise

Katie, thanks for the info., and the good wishes.

Likewise, Cece.

Lyon, Thanks for the good wishes. Do you have any suggestions for the manual dexterity measure? I was always useless with the Rubik's cube - I just never had the patience. I have seen "kids" do it in a matter of seconds.

I do juggle, but that is not a good objective measure, I don't think. Perhaps typing some standard tongue twisters? Peter Piper pick a peck of pickled peppers. How many pecks of pickled peppers did Peter Piper pick, etc. That might be a good measure (I am having trouble typing these days) that covers manual dexterity, but perhaps less on the cognition.

I'm open to suggestions!

Thanks Val. I wouldn't mind a companion, I suppose. We change our minds every day on whether to go as a family, or not, but it looks more and more like I will go it alone.

Maybe Bob will come with me. Bob?

Back in around 1978 or so some of the girls I hung around with had an obsession with a plastic child's toy in the shape of a ball, a little smaller in diameter than a basketball, which was in two halves with something elastic holding the two halves together so they could be pulled apart to store the different shaped pieces and the plastic ball had a multitude of holes specific to the shaped pieces.

It was simple enough that anyone could eventually put all the pieces into their respectively shaped holes but there were enough various shaped pieces that it wasn't a quick undertaking, therefore with a little practice you were close to about as quick as you were going to be and anything more than minor improvement literally would have required an understandable reason. In this case hopefully resolution of disability.

Don't fool around, I just might take you up on it. People keep mentioning the food.
Jeez, I just love food!:D
Bob
Great idea! My son has one of those. I'll get on that. I'll even video tape it.

You made me laugh when you threatened to come with me. I look forward to the food - I need to gain some weight. I had a Ukrainian girlfriend once upon a time, so there will be a familiarity with the food.

Johnson,

Going alone to Poland is fine, there is a camaraderie among patients at the clinic and at Qubus. I arrived one day before tests and then I would suggest you hang around 3 days after the procedure.

They are strict about laying flat for 6 hours after and I did not see a urinary either (read Katie41 post again), but the wide mouth nalgene bottle I brought along came in handy...

Go with an open mind and relax, you'll be in good hands.

Best wishes for a good trip.

Johnson and Marc, Not that I do not feel good, but for me more than one glass already puts my head in a different kind of - although more pleasant - but still dizzy atmosphere

And will I survive without my laptop at hospital? Guess not safe enough to take it with me - so better stays in hotel - and anyway no wireless in hospital I guess (and no need for it in end for sure, since will chat with others at hospital room "live" anyway! Hope that one night to meet no funny snoring issues as I heard from s.o. else  )...but my camera comes with me!

And Vhoenecke, that sounds super! Do I understand right from this that you are just home from Poland and already feel strong improvements on getting rid of fatigue?

Today is Sunday and I just got home on Tuesday. I feel amazing, no fatigue and my pain is gone. I really hope this lasts. I have so many symptoms gone that I didn't even realize they were my MS. I suggest also that you have an IPOD or an MP3 player to put in/on your ears to listen to music to keep out the snoring. I was really glad I had mine. I was in the room with a couple of Polish ladies and they really snored. Of course I did not snore at all. LOL! Had a blast once my surgery was done but make sure you rest, I probably should have more but I felt so good.

Johnson, thanks for asking these questions (as you know I'm there the same week). They are some of the questions I've been thinking about. If you want, my girlfriend can hold on to your valuables for you - she knows kung fu ;)

Thanks, skincoll. That made me laugh. She sounds like my kinda gal. I'll keep an eye out for a very fit girl, and a guy with a black eye.

Val, you slipped through my cracks as you went to Poland. I can never seem to get past the first couple of posts these days, and i missed your trip. I can only hope that everything is coming up roses for you in Rosetown. (Hi Roses) I'm deaf in one ear, and I have ear plugs. One pack lasts me twice as long. My wife ...makes...funny noises at night (I would never say she SNORES), so I'm pretty good at quieting a room without waking the... personmakingnoises. Om.

Zeureka, I just make excuses to drink nice wine. (Hiccup)

JohnAm, Thanks for that. The winds have changed again, so I might not go solo. I'm not worried about too much either way. I will be sure to take my 1.5 litre water bottle - empty. It's a wide-mouth too. (Ahem)
