Hi,
I can walk ok round the house not using any aid or holding on to anything, but when i walk outside i do need some support for balance, not strength
So soon i am going to be liberated abroad, and having a crutch will help my balance when walking outside on uneven grounds.
So as my left leg is a bit weaker than my right, i was wondering which arm i should use to hold the crutch?
ive tried with each arm, and because im right handed it feels easier with the right arm, but as my left leg is the weaker, would it be better for my balance to practice using my left arm to hold the crutch?
thanks

Yes, that's what I've read as well. However, I find it physically counterintuitive to my coordination, or apparent lack there of these days. When I use my cane, I hold it in my right hand to help out my right foot that's affected by this cursed disease. I move both cane and foot forward together at the same time.Talisker wrote:I was told to use a walking stick opposite the weak leg and as you go forward use them at the same time so balance is centred.
