Doctors prescribing LDN in Australia?

Post by freckles1975 »

Hi there,

I posted this a while back I'm sure but can't find it now. I am in Australia (Sydney) and want to get on LDN. Unfortunately my GP won't prescribe it, despite me providing him with a lot of information about it.

What I'm wondering is if there' anyone in Australia (preferably in Sydney) that can help me out with the name of a doc who is willing to prescribe LDN. I have the information for a pharmacy that has been authorised by the TGA (the Aussie equivalent of the FDA) to make it for people with MS, so now just need a prescription.

Any help greatly appreciated. :)

Cheers! Image

In Brisbane

Post by noddlebean »

Hi There

I'm in Brisbane and I must be lucky cause my doctor said I could have it if I wanted it even without any information supprting my request!! She even suggested I mix the dosage up myself. Weird huh. I haven't gone back to request it as I am on Liptor and that seems to be working for me at the moment although I could use something that could help with the fatigue and LDN would be that.

I found a compound pharmacy - will they do the script or will I have to go to a specific parmacy?? I guess I have the opposite problem but my doctor doesn't beat around the bush and is willing to help out.

I think any compunding pharmacy should be able to do it. I have information for a compunding pharmacy in Lismore but I'm sure there's other places that do it to.

You are very lucky to have a doctor who is happy to prescribe it! I am still trying to convince my GP, but have now received the number for a neurologist who will precribe it if my GP won't come to the party.

Fatigue is the main issue for me which is why I want to try LDN, as it's supposed to be very good for fatigue.

Cheers! Image

noddlebean, please consider sharing your experience with Lipitor on the new statins forum here (if you haven't already).

Thanks,

Hi Emma

Thanks I have a compounding pharmacy near me here so when I decide to take the plunge I will go there. Just was a bit aprehensive taking two meds at once that can effect the liver i.e LDN & Lipitor (well possibly eventually)

Thanks Aaron already posted something up for Lipitor in the foum :)

its tstill going ok so far - I thought I was in for a relapse the other day when my feet went really numb and it started to go back up my legs but its seems to have held now so am happy again. Whether its the Lipitor - who knows.... up to nearly 6 mths relapse free so am crossing my fingers for the next couple of months cause they are generally the worst each year for me. I had my MRI and no active lesions but I guess theres one in my spine but not completely sue.

Hi Michelle429,
I'm not in Australia but here is a link http://www.hubbardfoundation.org/CCSVI_supplements.html where you can buy ldn online. I could not find a dr. either but I did find this link on Dr. Hubbards website (under supplements).
https://www.buyldn.com/ from here http://www.ldnscience.org/
I'm in the U.S.A. so it had to go through customs but that was no problem. When it arrived, I started at 1.5 mg. It made such a difference in my life I can't imagine being without it. It's been 5 mos. and I'm feeling great at 3.5mg. I did find a dr. finally here in the states (with the help of a member here). I wish you all the best and hope that you could at least start with this reputable online site while you look for a dr. at home.
