Well I have been on a Gilenya for 3 months.
No flares or anything. Easiest med I have been on for MS.
My neuro wants 1st blood work between 3 & 4 months.
How often is blood work typically done?

Re: Three months on Gilenya
I'm on a schedule of every 6 months for eye exam, liver testing, blood count. So far, everything is fine.
Re: Three months on Gilenya
I have been on Gilenya since March 2013 and so far (touch wood!!), everything is ok. No relapses which is brilliant. However I think I am regularly experiencing some of the side effects (low back pain, head aches, nausea & diarrhoea) which can be annoying but I guess things could be worse!
Keep smiling!

Re: Three months on Gilenya
Hi
I was on Tysabri for 3.5 years but bloods came back with a positive to the JC Virus. Neurologist has taken me off that and said Gilenya will be better. I guess the MS isnt stopping me doing anything I just have wobbly legs, pins and needles in fingers, tired and I also get erections that last up to 2 hours two or three times per day which the Neurologists says that can happen. My question being if you are on Gilenya has it been OK and any side effects

Welcome to ThisIsMS. You might want to read the Prescribing Information for Gilenya if you haven't already.Cessna182d wrote:Hi
