MS Centers ??

Post by Blue2014 »

I am newly diagnosed with MS and had a single appointment at an MS Center where diagnosis was confirmed and they agreed to treat me there. Now they have gotten the medication worked out with the insurance but meanwhile I have developed additional symptoms that are concerning me yet I cannot get them to return my voicemails and a real person never answers the phone so you have no choice but to leave a message. Is this typical of MS Centers? I am thinking I may have to switch to a different neurologist where at a minimum my calls and concerns are acknowledged. :-(

No, not typical… sorry you're dealing with this, nothing like frustration on top of a new diagnosis!
Is your MS center part of a hospital center? Sometimes they give you a generic phone number that goes to the large hospital or clinic center rather than directly to the office. Hopefully once you reach someone they can advise you on an easier way to reach them. I don't know if your clinic uses anything like "mychart", but I have found that messaging my doctors through that site has been effective as well.
Good luck!
