If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Oceans of Hope

Post by msmything »

I just got back from a leg of a circumnavigation of the earth on a 67 ft racing yacht manned by people with MS. There are generally 6 folks with MS, a neuro, and 3 permanet crew members on each leg.
I got to sail this boat from the Panama Canal to the GALAPAGOS ISLANDS!! It was my number 1 bucket list destination. AND it was a BLAST. We had all types of MSers aboard, including nearly wheelchair bound to almost healthish. I have never thought that this could happen to me at the age of 58. Now the boat is heading to Tahiti, with a 66 yo woman aboard.
Please visit them on sailingsclerosis.com and look at the photos, and choose your route as they are still looking for crew! Very little sailing experience is necessary.
You will never be the same.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle..
