MS drugs are expensive and getting more so every year. However, the problem of out of control drug costs is not limited to just MS drugs. It's a problem that's systemic in US health care. For example, Vertex Pharmaceuticals has developed a new drug for cystic fibrosis which has completed successful clinical trials and is pending FDA approval. Once approved, they expect to sell it for $250,000 to $300,000 / year. Note that this doesn't cure cystic fibrosis, which is due to a mutation in a chloride channel in the lungs, but would need to be taken every year for the rest of a patient's life.
