Dear all,
My name is Brett and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. Firstly, let me say what a wonderful forum 'ThisIsMS" provides for people with MS to come and discuss and feel a sense of community.
I am actually an MS researcher and have been involved in looking into potential causes of MS for around 10 years now. However, what I have realised during my time in research is that a huge gap exists between the people doing the research and the people that the research directly effects (i.e. people with MS). To try and bridge this gap, along with my brother, we established MStranslate - a science communication initiative that is designed to help people with MS by providing up-to-date, accurate, independent, easily accessible and easy to understand summaries of current MS research. Whilst you can find us online, I also want to become an active participant of conversations occurring on these forums. I'm a strong believer in the value of conversation and that research has a lot to learn from people with MS - no one understands multiple sclerosis better than the people living with it!
Feel free to check out MStranslate online at our website, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts. Also, if you have any questions - either about MStranslate or MS research in general, I'd be happy to answer them below. I look forward to interacting with and getting to know a lot of you in the future.
Kind regards,
Brett (co-founder, MStranslate)

Hi Brett,
Welcome to ThisIsMS. Your site, http://www.mstranslate.com.au, appears to be unreachable at present. I keep getting "server not found" errors.

Hi NHE,
Thank you for your welcome! The website appears to be fine from my end - it hopefully was just a temporary issue, are you able to reach it now? If you are interested, you can also view a lot of our content on Facebook (www.facebook.com/MStranslate)

No. A DNS lookup yields an IP of 50.87.152.103. When I ping this I get web2003.websitewelcome.com which is a 404 error.MStranslate wrote:Hi NHE,

We have done quite a few tests at this end and it seems to be fine on multiple computers, browsers, locations etc. We don't have a great answer - it could be your browser or security settings? Otherwise it may just be temporarily down in your location...it does seem strange though! We'll continue to investigate!NHE wrote:No. A DNS lookup yields an IP of 50.87.152.103. I am ignorant about computers, but a click on the link given here by NHE took me immediately to the website.
