Vibrogym/power plate/vibrating platforms

If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Vibrogym/power plate/vibrating platforms

Post by Jaded »

Hi folks

Has anyone had any experience of using these?

I had a few sessions and the first was the most effective. Since then the impact has not been the same. :?

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has been using one of these machines for a while......

Thanks

Hi Jaded
I'm not much help but my cousin told me she was using one on a trial basis, for her osteoporosis - apparently it helps build bone density too and is used for people with osteoporosis too.She thought it was dreadfully expensive though.

I saw a review of it in "New Pathways" magazine - but the woman only tried it a couple of times and then had to give up from fatigue. Most exercise routines increase fatigue in the very short term but then decrease it if you persist, so it's hard to know if it would have been good for her.

Hopefully other people will have direct experience of it for you!
