CoreControl Cooling Glove

Post by dreddk »

Newish cooling glove that uses the hand's natural radiators to cool the bodys inner core. Case study on use with people with MS.

My company in New Zealand is distributing these for athlete use so it was interesting to see this development. Unfortunately the gloves are very expensive $US 1,995. They are working on a consumer model for the future though.

My brother in law sent me a link to something like this awhile back. Today I worked outside for awhile in 70 degree weather, but as soon as the sun warmed me up, as usual, I had to go inside and lie down after about 20 minutes of light outdoor activity. This is one of my most debilitating symptoms, and has gotten much worse this year. I hope they can come up with a less expensive model like they plan to. This would help me enormously.
Take care, Ewizabeth Previously Avonex, Rebif & Copaxone RRMS ~Tysabri, 31 infusions, ended 9/09. Starting Copaxone 12/09, waiting for Cladribine to be approved in 2010.

I understand they are working on one for release late this year, early 2008. It's significantly more effective than cooling vests etc for lowering your core temperature so would be great to see the consumer version
