Anyone on CPN or ABX in Australia? Need to chat :-) please

Post by Liisa »

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum so be gentle with me :-)

I have been reading up alot on Mr Wheldons Cpn treatments etc and was hoping to speak to someone in Australia that has tried it or is currently on t. I have spoken to my GP and asked if he knows or has heard of this anti-biotic treatment.. He hasnt.. H easked me to bring along to him all the info I can get. Have printed oout most of the lit on Wheldons site which is fantastic :-)

Is there anyone here in Oz currently on the treatment?? how did you start and know what meds to use and dosages etc?

AM very very keen to give this a try.

My MS history so far is kind of like this:-
I was diagnosed 2 years ago. Although I did have an MRI 10 years ago which was ""strongly suggestive of demylenation disease"". So I guess I have had MS 10 years...

Main symptoms are extreme fatigue which seems constant (lol) , heavy right leg but can still walk unaided, pins and needles. Have only had 2 episodes. Vision disrupted in eye. thats sort of ongoing. Not getting worse, or better and started 10 years ago. Then had drop foot 2 years ago... Been fairly "lucky" to date I guess :-) compared to some (

Someone please talk to me. Im new here "-)

I tried it for a year, about 6 months ago.

In Australia, we can get Doxy, Roxy and Flagyl as well as Tini (sorry for the abbreviations). I was on the dosages as recommended on Dr Wheldons site.

I am based in Sydney.

My GP prescribed them for me, and was fairly comfortable with it as he prescribed these meds day-in day-out for other (much less serious) conditions. But he did scoff. Please feel free to ask more, or PM me if you have any other questions.

Almost forgot, I got all my supplements (and still do) through iHerb online ordering. Some of them I just could not find in Aus.

Thanks for the reply Cureorbust :-)

Can I ask where I can get a list of the supplements you are using? I have seen sooo many variations etc. Dont know what to choose.
I am currently on Avonex (1 year now) and take fish oil, evening primrose, vit D, and Vit B tablets.

My Neurologist is really hard to talk to so am changing to a new suggested one that comes highy recommended. Better bed side manner hopefully. I wouldnt even dare ask my current Neuro about antibiotic therapy... Have mentioned it to my GP who is interested to read more and possibly happy to prescribe what I need.

Have you found the therapy beneficial??

Liisa, The list of vitamins and supplements is also contained within Dr. Wheldon's website.

Check your private mailbox here, as well. All the best...
