UK MS Society research

Post by bromley »

WARNING TO HARRYZ AND HIS HENCHMEN/FOLLOWERS - PLEASE READ NO FURTHER. THERE ARE REFERENCES TO ANIMAL MODELS OF MS / AUTOIMMUNITY AND OTHER TERRIBLE THINGS. NO NEED TO COMMENT AS WE ACKNOWLEDGE / RESPECT YOUR VIEWS ON THESE MATTERS

For those such as Lyon / Dignan etc (basically the nice people who visit this site), please read on:

The UK MS Society has announced $9 million of research grants (paltry compared to the US, but we make a little go a long way over here). Details of the grants are provided in the link. Of interest:

Big focus on nerve damage / protection

Phase II study ($800K) for Hook Worms (for my old friend Bob) - see link called "Open Strand".

Update on key projects such as the Cambridge Myelin Repair Centre - see link "Update on Key Programmes".

Hope you find it of interest.

You called Lyon nice with no insult attached... I think you better be first in line for that brain repair.

Good afternoon Ian,

I see that you are enjoying your long break from the House, but I think you might have taken just a bit too much sun.

An Itinerary in Light and Shadow Completed Dr Charles Stratton / Dr David Wheldon abx regime for aggressive secondary progressive MS in June 2007, after four years. Still improving with no relapses since starting. Can't run but can paint all day.

Thanks for the update. It seems that i hear very little about what's heppening in the UK, but that could be because it reflects how much is going on!
