Fish oil?

If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

There's a big difference between an anecdotal story and a double-blind study. I'm pleased you are doing so well but there is impressive evidence in favor of fish oil supplementation and I certainly hope no one is dissuaded from taking them because they aren't "whole" foods.

I agree with your advice on diet but see no reason why one can't combine that with supplementation.

By the way, I eat a very similar diet to the one you describe and I have had no remission of symptoms. Hence I keep taking my 6,000mg per day of fish oil.

another good reason to take fish oil supplements, they do not have the mercury content of so many of the fish on the market. (consumer reports lists which brands have been tested and passed) the supplements are very inexpensive too, which is a plus for anyone on limited income. it's important that each individual do what is best for them personally. each body reacts to things differently and each personality has their own preferences. who am i, or anyone else, to judge what works for another person? :) better health to all.

For anyone who's interested, this article was in the July 2003 issue.

I'm pretty sure Jill was referring to Consumer Reports.

I agree with Rev. Leonidas. I have not experieced any good effects adding supplements, but have noticed a healthier diet helps with energy.
