Thanks wobbly for your input. Say do you have any differences in function now vs before the proceudre other than your big difference in heat tolerance? Walk any better, bladder work better, stuff like that?

Wobbly good to hear some things are some better! This is great! I suspected those of us with long standing deficits would remain with some deificits, just like a person after a stroke, not all of the nerves will be able to come back.

I believe also based on something Dr D said that Dr Zamboni does only endovascular repairs and does not use stents at this time. The Libreation 100 were all repaired in some way rather than stented.

But let me be sort of long thinking here: I can imagine that if we work at it for a long time it is possible that we will see a little more recovery in longer time periods, there are stem cells in brains that may migrate to the area and develop some new nerves if we give them a reason to do that ie keep on walking and exercising.....and the area is healthy!!
It is known that people w ho had strokes even long years ago can regain some more funciton iwth a lot of effort at rehabilitating an area.

My favorite story of all time posted before but post again for the general fun of seeing it about a guy called Rummerfield who was paralyzed in a broken neck accident at the age of 17. It was an incomplete spinal cord severinghe stillhad 15% of the cord BUT ONLY 15%--- 17 years later he
ran the iron man!!!
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 02675.html

he literally tried every day at rehab for 17years to get from paralyzed to so funcitonal. He is not completely back to nromal he is a little numb and a little drop footed and his bladder is still a little whacky, but by any measure he lives a totally normla life.

love that story... it inspres me. I know wobbly is a big workout nut too

The best thing my homeopath ever said to me was that "everything can heal". You know you kind of take what info you want and leave the rest. I took that one and think of it almost daily.
Waiting and expecting miracles for you all.

The waiting will be over in five days for me - AND, I am taking one miracle at a time - my first will be having the test and knowing that I am being treated by one of the best doctors in the U.S. - I am indeed blessed.

Thanks Terry for your thoughts - we are all pioneers - we will all have a story to tell
