I've used the eFilm program on the ISO of the CD to create this 3D video of the front-view of the MRV:

You might need quicktime to play that file

He is actually thinking of going to CT he told IG. total hear say but I am thikning this exchange of informqtion here with one hour uploads sort of tells the tale..... :x
Hmmm, it sounds like part of Dr. Dake's upcoming grant application ought to include funding for a Cray and a fiber optic network.

But then I'm sure that we would rather have money spent on patients. Still, if better tools facilitate the work...

I hope that is the venous occlusion but for all I know it could be muscle or glands or something. Until I get the radiologist to confirm things I don't think we can really be certain unless there's a doctor here?

Here's a few more:

Thanks Alex for sharing your pics!! Looking good by the way!! I have now sent them on to a few dr's(the one's who have been open to helping and a few who weren't so helpful!)

Lets hope the dr's in the UK are going to embrace CCSVI as a possible way of treating and diagnosing those with MS.

I have updated the Research thread....

AT THE BOTTOM I ADDED TWO OF THESE IMAGES THE QUICKTIME AND THE ONE WITH THE STENTS......

PLEASE, PLEASE LOOK and tell me did I choose the best images?

everyone who contributed to this international effort to get this online for people to see...THANK YOU and especially Alex who offered her own personal material for this effort.

I haven't looked back at the original post, however, the issue I have with the simply the images above (being a devils advocate here  ) is that they are a two dimensional slice through a three dimensional structure. It could be argued that the narrowing of the vein could simply be the 3D vein moving in and out of the 2D plane depicted. To prove this is not the case, you would also require the slices before and after this one. I admit, I have not reviewed the video in collaboration with the images. It too could also remove the doubts raised. :)

Just taking the sceptics POV for a drive.

Right. Am going to give this 3d image stuff a shot. I don't have Efilm lite, it seems. I'm going to download a free version and hope it talks to the DICOM software as I just found a drop down menu in DICOM talking about efilm lite. This is obviously a stumbling block!!

Curiously, perhaps because I'm on Vista I cannot run the Efilm lite from the CDs.

Alex, eFilm lite is on the CD you created the ISO from. If you pop that CD into your computer, then go to 'My Computer' and right-click on the CD drive, a menu will appear.. if you select 'AutoPlay' from that menu, it will load up eFilm Lite and allow you to view all the images on the cd.

Once you're in viewing the images, there will be menus at the top of the program... (I'm talking from memory now as I don't have the program open... I'll try again later and write down more detailed instructions)... I think there's either a 'Views' or a 'Tools' menu.. and one of the options is '3D'... which will create the 3D view from the scans.... you can play around with all the options because the CD cannot get changed/ruined so you don't have to worry about losing anything.

I have tried to load the efilmlite in the way you describe and can see the .exe file on the CDs but it just won't load...

I think it's probably a problem with Vista. I have tried to download a solution from the efilmlite company but that doesn't seem to work either...I'll see if I can get the radiologist to make them into 3d images for me. :?
