Sorry, LR...
this is an ongoing frustration. Jeff's dopplers didn't show anything, either. Only with the MRV could we see the complete closure of his left jug and the occlusion in his right. The doppler operator was sure all was fine, but Dr. Dake saw, once he was inside, the flow was refluxing into Jeff's brain.

How to explain this? We believe the dopplers may not be able to get up high enough to see the reflux into the brain...Jeff's blockage was very, very high in his jugs.

Marie has talked about the problems with doppler operator interpretation on here, as well. Don't stop looking into alternatives (CT scan, etc.) I'm hoping with you and Alex working across the pond, we'll find some doctors who can help.

A venogram/MRV is a simple dye injection in your arm....no pain. A venogram uses radioactive dye and an x-ray machine, an MRV uses gadolinium and an MRI machine.

It is the balloon/stent procedure which uses a catheter, and goes into the vein thru the groin.
