Help - where can I get my MRV done if not in the USA?

Hi, I am in the UK (England) and MRV's can be £700.00-£1200.00 which is very expensive (maybe more) So I am not sure it would be cheaper for you to fly to here.

My understanding is an MRV is the same as an MRI but with different computer software.

I got an MRV and CT scan done....maybe you could try a CT instead.

will your insurance cover you for an endovascular procedure? Concerned that even if you got the scans, the procedure might not be covered. Did Alex tell you?

Since you are part of the UC system, is there any way you can present this research to a school in your network...UCLA, UCB, UCSD...all have outstanding medical/research schools. Maybe you can be the conduit to the UC schools getting involved? You are obviously well-versed in CCSVI, and would be the perfect person to present this research to them.

And my insurance refused the MRV for the return visit so I had a CT scan.....

the first MRV was 8 K!! No wonder they approved the CT at 1k....

I saw a neurologist at a teaching hospital, who I managed to generate enough interest in to perform an MRV. Problem was, they only did one of my head. However, they did it as part of their "research" budget, and it cost me nothing.

I have also checked with a local lab here in Sydney with a 1.5T MR machine, and they gave me a rough estimate of AUD$1000 (about USD$800 I think) to perform the MRV, but can not give me a firm price until they get some instructions on exactly what to do.

From my understanding, a plane ticket to Sydney, a hotel & the MRV may sound cheaper than some of the prices I have heard for a MRV in the USA. Some people go to Thailand for plastic surgery...

My MRV cost my insurance company 8 grand. I heard that a person who paid out of pocket paid 4 grand cash.

That is a big difference cost wise. We need price management, these prices are insane.
