What tests should I ask my doctor for?

I want to check if I have CCSVI. What tests do I need to ask my doctor for?

I have had full spine/brain MRIs with the contrast injection. Would these MRIs show vein abnormalities?

catlady,

Currently the only sure-fire way to confirm or deny CCSVI is by doppler sonography. The techniques used are currently known only by a few doctors. Dr Haacke is researching to see if a change in the MS MRI protocol will be beneficial in detecting CCSVI. Unless your doctor is on board with CCSVI I would suggest you talk to him about this first. Maybe show him the CTV W5 video or show him Zamboni's papers. You can find links to all Zamboni's papers by looking at and reading the CCSVI Research sticky.

thanks for your response.

I am seeing my neurologist in a few weeks and I am going to ask about it. In the meantime, I'm trying to educate myself so I know what I am talking about and so I can ask intelligent questions :)
