Hi all!
Here published on "CCSVI nella sclerosi multipla" posters presented in Lisbona at Charcot Foundation.
Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency in Multiple Sclerosis.
Onset symptom and clinical course in relation to the hemodynamic pattern.
"Venography and transcranial and extracranial Color-Doppler high-resolution examination (TCCS-ECD) permitted us to detect 5 different malformative patterns of the venous vessels (annulus, septum/valve malformation, twisting, membranous obstruction, agenesis/hypoplasia) and 4 major hemodynamic patterns of extracranial-extravertebral venous outflow. The aim of this work were to correlate pattern of CCSVI with clinical findings such as the MS onset symptom and the subsequent clinical course."

Thanks Sofabed!
Does anyone think that the Type D stenosis will be more difficult to treat? My husband has PPMS (diagnosed 1997).
I won't be too discouraged if the consensus is that it will be more difficult to treat, because I think that new techniques will have to be developed to treat the Type D form!
Thanks,
Theresa

Dr Zamboni mentioned that some people will have untreatable stenosis in his interview with W5. But each person's stenosis pattern is different. It is not strictly if you have this MS pattern you have this stenosis, there is more variation than that.
the azygos itself seems to be treatable though.

I'm not offering medical advice, I am just a patient too! Talk to your doctor about what is best for you...
