Surgery Question...

Post by Bubba »

It is very possible that I will have to go into surgery tomorrow. Waiting now to hear back from the doctor. I had several surgeries 2 years ago, before I knew my Dx with MS. I noticed a rough time comming out of anesthesia. I also noticed a tuff time healing my surgery sites. Anything important I need to know prior to this time that may help in my recovery? :(

Hi Bubba,
We will be thinking and praying for you.
The very best of luck.
Chuck.
PS. Maybe you shouldn't chase nurses right after surgery. Sorry poor attempt to make you smile.

Hey Bubba,

Usually you have a talk with your neuro before or the operating doc does to make sure all is alright.

If your surgeries before were post dx of MS then your outcome will probably be about the same if not I have had experience with anesthesia 3 times since getting MS and everything seemes fine afterwards, my neuro did warn that I may have an attack after which really... aren't we always expecting those at one time or another? lol

I wish you all the best!!

Well apparently the prayers were perfect! :D Thank You. I did end up having to have the surgery last wednesday. I breezed through it. Recovery was very speedy, way faster than ever before. Went back to work last night. I didn't have the breathing problems I did the prior times. The only noticable thing was vertigo for three days after, throw some beer on top of that, and the world is a neat place! Thanks for the Prayers Chuck!
