Teriflunomide

Post by Tricky »

I have been a subject in the Phase 11 study of the safety and efficacy of Teriflunomide for approximately 7 1/2 years with positive results.

Anyone else out there on this drug with similar results

I have been following the news on CCSV1 and like many I'm sure would be willing to travel for this procedure when it becomes available

That's encouraging news. I have no experience with the drug but wondered if you wouldn't mind elaborating on what your good results are and if you've had any side effects from it?

While not cured the yardstick I have used to measure my improvement is through for my love of the game of golf.I am now able to walk a full 18 holes over four hours and have on occasion played an additional round back to back.I insist on walking and played over 100 hundred games in 2009.I still have to listen to my body, watch the heat & get my sleep but besides that my overall condition is much improved, I have more endurance and less subject to fatigue.

I take two tablets of 7mg daily and have had no side effects in 7 1/2 years

I was on teriflunomide beginning in Spring/Summer 2001 through Dr. O'Connor. I stuck with it until November 2003 when after still slowly going downhill I had a 21 day event of new symptom after new symptom after new symptom. It was so scary I decided I needed to get off the medication.

Unfortunately for me it didn't seem to work. I also found out I could have been on the Tysabri trial instead haha - oh well
