abx

Post by mistymtn »

Hi-I am new here and havent perused many of the threads yet, am interested in the zamboni stuff and antibiotics at the moment. I actually don't have an MS dx, cfs/fm, but that was years ago and I don't believe that a lot of things have been ruled out, am re-trying baclofen, super small dose, for spinal/shoulder spasms right now.

anyway, I was really inspired and impressed by this thread. This site seems great and more cogent than some of the cfs/fm sites, maybe because you have less of an "identity crisis" in the medical field than cfs/fm folks, but still a lot of questions on cause and cure like fm/cfs.

Robbie I hope your progress continues.
All of your perserverance is encouraging.
I am curious, did you feel like your back went out because of taking doxy?
I just tried 2 days of it and it feels like my neck went more out, it was on its way but it was really upsetting to me today as it hasnt felt this subluxated in years. I tend to be ultra sensitive to meds as have a detox problem breaking most things down.
do many ms folks have chemical sensitivities and have any of you had mostly pain in the cervical area? that doesnt seem as common. I suppose I should post somewhere else on some of that.
At any rate, I am excited about the abx potential, however, I work part time right now and I get herx really bad from things, like I can't take N-acetyl cysteine, get power headache bad, could have CPn, have never been tested for it, not sure what tests to ask for that arent lame.
I am also wondering if many of you guys doing abx were able to test for a bunch of infections etc before you tried the abx? I will explore the other abx threads too.
Back to the herx though, I am afraid to keep going with the doxy because I am not one to work well with the flu, just curl up into fetal position when feel real herxy, too much pain and grossness. So I dont know what to do, even pulsing them could be hard, am going to consult with doc on it.
thanks for sharing everything Robbie.

Tiao He Cleanse®, Chinese (Intestinal System, Digestive System, Circulatory System) is a 10-day nutritional program designed to help the body achieve tiao he—balance and harmony. It combines Chinese nutritional and Western herbal experience. The Tiao He Cleanse is designed to support the cleansing mechanisms of the body by targeting the intestinal, digestive and circulatory systems.
Each packet contains 1 capsule each of:

Chinese Liver Balance (digestive support)
All Cell Detox (intestinal support)
LBS II (Lower Bowel Support)
Psyllium Hulls (bulking agent)
Burdock Root (circulatory system)
Black Walnut Hulls (digestive system)
I am trying this because of the pro biotic help and also because of the constapation i have. i feel like i need to get my stomach working as good as possible. I have been taking codeine for 6 years or so now and am weaning myself of of them as best i can. I don't need them so much for pain anymore but i have become addicted to them and it's not very plesent when i try and cut back.My bowels will be much better without them in my system because of how bad they block you up.

Robbie,
Thank you for doing these videos. It's inspiring to see you on your feet. Can you update us some time on your regimen?
Ken

hi Ken just thinking that things are going so good i would only take the Doxy and do some PT for now. I think having the energy to work on upper body strength has helped with my movement over all,not to mention the good feeling of just getting stronger and not feeling like your wasting away.

He's doing antibiotics. Hey, Lyon, you still a camper here?

Robbie, the stairs is really something. I can really relate to the effort. I climb the stairs with Kim everyday (not be cause she needs me to, but just because we seem to operate on the same clock) and I can notice little things. Your video is impressive. Ken

Good grief - another video! I thought it was the last one until I saw mention of climbing stairs and leg squats, so I have just looked.

Rob, you have come on so much over the last few months. As for climbing the stairs, most of them you are doing correctly, not one step at a time. That is truly amazing and about the best exercise you could do. Living in a four storied house, I know!

I know Sarah, the last 7 months have been to good to be true and we know how that saying usally ends up. I really don't understand what is happening, i just wish now i'd started 18 years ago and avoided some of the permenent damage i'm sure i have.
