I have already been in touch with Dr. Woodfielf of NUCCA's Upper Cervical Research Foundation for over a year now. Dr. Woodfield is currently working with Dr. Noam Alperin on a migraine study using upright MRI. Dr. Woodfield and I met with Drs. Haake, Dake and Mehta last year at the CCSVI Alliance meeting in Albany to discuss the role and potential comanagement of upper cervical and vascular intervention in MS.
Drs. Harshfield and Rosa are doing their presentation to neurologists and neurosurgeons specializing in shunts and NPH. The presentation was put on by a neurologist who specializes in Alzheimer's.
It's time to fire up the grill.

It worth talking to all the board certified NUCCA doctors. That's Dr. Woodfield's job. What Dr. Dickholtz is referring to are case studies. We need physiological studies such as MR and US which is what Woodfield and NUCCA research division are doing. There are other non-orthogonal methods that are equally valid and need to be studied as well. Certain full spine proceedures, especially spinal decompression tables that use the Cox method also need to be included.

Congrats, Dr. Flanagan! I'm sure the collaboration will be a successful one. Dr. Scott Rosa is the doctor who performed my AO adjustment in the study at that facility; he's a very caring doctor, and I look forward very much to the next CSF study. As you know, via MRI, a "notable" increase was measured in my CSF flow after my adjustment -- and such MRI measurements are objective proof.uprightdoc wrote:Hello Nigel,
I just finished the webinar, which lasted an hour and then I had a conference call with the doctors. It was about imaging blood and CSF flow using upright MRI. I have commited myself to collaborating with them. The upright MR we will be using is the one used in the study HP was in. Upright MRI is the technology that is going to change our understanding of many neurodegenerative diseses that seem to share common causes. Upright MR is right around the corner and it's affordable.

Thanks HP. The presentation on Tuesday was a success. It also allowed me to get familiar with the program and format. Dr. Harshfield focused on Chiari Zero malformations and Dr. Rosa focused on the effects of AO intervention on arterial, venous and CSF flow. I look forward to the next one in October. I will be covering anatomy and variants, physiology, neurology and pathology. I have already begun my PP slides. Our three presentations should dovetail beautifully.
