Regardless of his bedside manner, it would be good to refrain from ad-hominem attacks and libelous remarks. This is a semi-anonymous forum, and while I have my personal doubts about certain posters, I think everyone speaking or writing in public, identified as themselves, deserves to be answered in public with identified debaters who are willing to own up to their statements.

BTW I have noted some attention has been given lately to vascular concerns in the 'MS' literature, even if it is sometimes only to give them short shrift.

There is one paper about t-cells not being peri-vascular. I have seen a video of t-cells which have been made fluorescent and filmed travelling along a microscopic blood vessel. If this technique could be used it might shed some light on what they do in the brain when blood is slow vs. normal. Also, some work needs to be done on the ubiquitous EAE model, to see if there is hypoxia and slowed perfusion in sick mice too.

Oh my goodness, yes, that is another way to take a crack at it. If MS causes slowed perfusion (because of lesions or inflammation or "unknown causes"), EAE ought to also cause slow perfusion. If it's the other way around (another condition *coughccsvi* causes the slowed perfusion) then EAE would not cause the slowed perfusion. It seems simple to me, am I missing something?

Although I still like Dr. Zamboni's response of "I am not a mouse doctor" or whatever his precise words were, last fall.

And I am glad that our IRs are people doctors and willing to treat while this is all getting sorted out.

All that being said, the boards are moderated on a volunteer basis-- there are a number of people who have volunteered to keep an eye on the forums to try to make sure things don't get out of hand (illegal ads, personal attacks, revealing personal information, etc.). That being said, we cannot and do not monitor every posting for content-- all problems should be reported to the moderator(s); otherwise assume we have not seen the offending posts.
Enjoy, have fun, and please let us know if you'd like anything to change.
