Mercury is one of many endothelial disrupters which can damage the cerebral endothelium and affect blood brain barrier permeability. So can low vitamin D, low vitamin B, smoking and other heavy metals.
Saying "cure" was a bit much. Hyperbaric oxygen can help people, so can vitamin D supplementation, so can Dr. Wahl's diet. Whenever someone claims this is it, this is ALL you need, it's a problem.
I think that's why the researchers at BNAC are looking at restenosis in CCSVI venoplasty, and trying to understand the endothelium and infections, diet, supplements. Because it's a bigger picture than we first thought, and each individual has their own issues.
