If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Hi,

If you are going to use MitoQ then you are trying to assist the production of ATP. The note from the 8th of December here http://www.thisisms.com/forum/regimens- ... 9-165.html might be of use to you. You can look at your uric acid levels to get a sense of how depleted the metabolism of purines has become. Q10 should be of help to you but consider adding acetyl-L-carnitine to improve the ATP cycle. It should help your fatigue. A number of us see EBV as the driver of this metabolic problem so you would need to adopt a strategy for that as well.

I couldn't resist asking you (sorry in advance)
I did marital arts

That sounds tricky. How in the world could you fight your fatigue that way? Did it cost a lot? I don't think I would've survived...

Cool, I'll read up on it. I wasn't aware of the importance of acetyl-L-carnitine - I appreciate it! Sorry for my ignorance, but what is EBV, and how does it tie in to this?

Both of these are private prescription/unsubsidised prices. So its almost 12 times cheaper (NB: I take about the same number of tablets of each when I use either of them).
PS: EBV is short for Epstein Bar Virus

Hi,

Yes, EBV is Epstein Barr Virus. It is a very common infection in the human population that is associated with a number of illnesses. It is the cause of glandular fever.
If you have a blood test you will likely come back as positive for an old infection but negative for an active infection. The issue about EBV is it part of the herpes family which means it stays resident in the hosts cells rather than depleting to nothing over time. It never actually goes away. Most people manage to live with it quite well but people with MS seem to have a problem. Many of us think it is a major component of the development of MS and treat it accordingly. There are a number of articles on this website and some are very good. If they are too complex to follow then you won't be on your own. Do ask if you have a question. You will get a lot of answers.
My post that I referred you to looks at it but so do many others. I'm afraid its a case of read and learn as it is a big subject.

Regards
