That is specifically plasma (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasma_exchange). And plasma is not where the damaging items *appear* to be for MS. I was not thinking in it being THAT specific. Just dosing with the shotgun chemical outside the body (and removed before the blood goes back in) so the rest of the biological systems do not have to suffer, and hence the safety profile will possibly improve (and maybe higher effective doses can be used etc etc etc), while still using a shotgun style chemical.Lyon wrote:I think it will be quite some time before they can filter the myelin reactive T cells from the blood, ...
