Good thread. I'm terrible with my diet, and I do need to change it. I eat tons of fast food, have for ages. I too did not gain weight from it, so I just kept at it. Convenience is now kicking my butt :p

~kicking!!~ ~leg cramp!~

It's tough. Since University, been eating this way. Going from no sleep nights to working evening/night shifts, my schedule for eating got thrown into turmoil. Hence the convenience factor.

I did do the Candida diet a while back (all meat, no carbs/sugars) for a month +. Since I had been filled full of antibiotics by doctors at walk in clinics, plus my atrocious diet and stress, I got sicker, and ultimately my yeast levels in my body got out of control. The diet change helped and cured a lot of the additional misery I was feeling. But I didn't stick with that diet. It was strict and lacking.

I have been considering Swank, because the idea of say, giving up red meat, isn't that terrible to me. Eating low fat or no fat foods isn't bad either. There's so much on the market now that it's easy to get into.

heya, i kind of felt like i had a lot of gi issues a while back and i blamed it on candida at the time. now i don't know... i did decide that part of the problem could be the intestinal permeability thing, which ends up being partially related to zinc status, in which i turned out to be deficient (apparently along with a bunch of other ms patients). much zinc comes from red meat i hear, so keep up with your oysters if you try the no red meat thing :)
ps. magnesium for your leg cramp lol ;D

Indeed. Magnesium in the picture as well! I am fortunate that my nutritionist was able to make a compound of stuff (Vitamin/Mineral) that is beneficial for MS. All in 1 pill. :)

6 of these babies a day... plus 400 IU of Vit. E, 1000 MCG of B12 (sublingual) and Omega 3 (liquid) 1 tsp daily. The pills (compound) contain a lot of different goodies :)
