Researchers say inosine inhibits EAE on mice and pigs, is this enough for someone with MS to use it as a supplement or not, especially if it is under control and have zero side effects?
That's the question for me...

MRI's with contrast show active lesions. New active legions would constitute a relapse I think even if the patient is unaware.

Also, nearly ALL current studies have a "reduction of relapses" as a primary end point. This question of IF has obviously already been satisfactorily solved for medical purposes. If a drop in uric acid was found before a patient "felt" there was a relapse, and not after, then I think we would be far better off.

I am "lucky" in that for the most part, I know when a relapse is about to happen, because its always after a flu/cold. I can't imagine the day-to-day of not knowing if I was going to be hit today. Just having that feeling for a flu affects my life everyday in some small way.

DIM,

There have been small studies on humans which have showed reduction in relapses for humans also. Also, my uric acid was below the reference range before I started using inosine. I started on the basis of returning my blood work results to normal. Then I read the Gout study. I have been using it for about 3 years. I don't know if it actually helps or not.
