Although I am right-leaning in my politics, I am very aware that both sides promise and say dumb things to get elected. Of course, that is a much different topic than this thread was about and I apologize for my political cynicism

There have been a lot of posts across the spectrum of MS groups hoping if Obama gets elected that MS research will be helped.
In my opinion, no disease will be singled out for extra funding by any administration because people with the thousands of other diseases would have a field day blasting the incumbent.
As far as getting MS in the limelight, it will last about 30 seconds after the speech except for those of us who have it.
I agree about the BS of politics and have decided after all of these years that nothing is going to change, so I just ignore most of the blather.
Like an earlier post of yours referred to, the main difference between the two candidates is how much money they want to take out of our bank accounts and I think Obama will snatch more.
I don't think either candidate will do much of anything to help MS patients.
