Rhodes- What are your D levels at?

I'm seeing less than 50 is a big time no no if you are already predisposition to it. If you have MS you want to be at 50-60

BTW taking 1000 iu a day only got me back to 35 after the initial 50000iu

I upped the dosage to two 1000iu tabs a day

Last check it was only 35!

I take fish oil and sunbathe too! But fall the year before it was 55. I am taking more now and will recheck in a month at next blood draw.

Saw the neuro...Jeff passed all the tests, no new problems or disability, same as last year. Feeling is back in foot and he's relieved. The doc talked to him about how stress can reactivate his lesions- I was glad she acknowledged that. She said he could do an MRI, but it wouldn't change anything, and would probably be more stress right now. She gave him a trial of lyrica for leg pain, and he might try it. So, we're home, kicking back on a rainy day in LA. Jeff realizes he took on too much work, which is a hard thing to admit. He also said that he now realizes his first bad flare came when he was juggling too many projects and traveling alot. I'm glad he's figuring out what works for his particular MS puzzle...

Sorry to hear about Jeff's flare and glad to hear he's doing better. Stress is the bitter enemy of MS. It does me in every time. I have to fly out Sunday for a week of training for my job and I started stressing over it as soon as i got the call. The stuff like - will flying give me a migraine, will they notice if I have a bad day with my MS, what if I fall down. You know the normal stuff!!

Well I too am glad Jeff is up and about. I know I always say I will do it, then when I am doing it I am like, "What in the heck did I do this much for?" But if you don't use it you will loose it.

Flying gives me migraines now too. All the bird stuff is creepy. I live at Denver and we have had 2 major incidents recently. One of them was the other day and it was a bird strike.

The issue is in Denver where the airport is there are HUGE HUGE flocks of geese. I live 10 miles away and I see multi thousand bird flocks all the time.

I think they should harness the buggers like horses and have them help us out.

Hang in there, Cat. Hope the trip doesn't stress you out too much. I'm a lousy flyer...meditation and counted breathing have helped alot. Ironically, Jeff LOVES to travel and fly. He's got a trip back to NY in a couple weeks, and he's all excited and glad to be walking normally again. I'm happy I get to stay home

Glad to hear that Jeff is doing better and that he is figuring out his "triggers". Stress is so hard on one's body whether you have MS or not. I think the idea from Jimmylegs to get a few more B vitamins is good.
