If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Bad cholesterol levels go up as the dew point goes up

Post by hwebb »

A recent study found that blood fats are altered by an increase in temperature and humidity (dew point):

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21172696

LDL (bad) cholesterol goes up and HDL (good) cholesterol levels go down as the dew point goes up (with high temp and humidity).

Thanks for that.

I have just started to keep a record of dew point temperature, how much saturated fat I consume and how my symptoms are. I'm thinking, now that I have had my CCSVI treated it shouldn't matter so much what the dew point temperature is, or perhaps it's affecting blood supply in small blood vessels around damaged neurons so the temperature and saturated fats are important independent of CCSVI?

untreated vein...symptoms remain

Post by hwebb »

it's interesting you say that, as we had a very high dew point day in Melbourne recently. I had terrible symptoms in the vein which hasn't been treated to my satisfaction yet...but I didn't have any odd feelings in the other veins which were successfully treated.
