Post by papa »

Hi everyone,

We want to thank everyone for sharing your stories and input. You have been very helpful and encouraging. My husband has had ms for 25 yrs and is in spms. Jumping all obstacles! We have never travelled but are planning the trip to Bulgaria Sept 8th for ccsvi on the 10th. Anxious but excited. Summer for the first time seems to be long and slow! Thanks again for all the tips!

Hey Alanya. Im feeling good - baby steps though. The doctor just came to see me there and said someone has to go today when is your flight. I said Thursday and he said Dr Grozinski will come to see me tomorrow at 730 am to answer any questions that I have. I then said so will I be in here tonight and he said oh yes you stay here tonight. So I dont know now whether he meant we need a room and someone has to leave or whether he was meaning some people have flights tomorrow and need to leave. Anyway I guess I should have lied and said my flight was tomorrow and then get away as I am absolutely fine but never mind I would have to be here at 730am tomorrow anyway. I will need to think of questions now.

My procedure is July 27! Liberation at last!

Post by djh »

Hello everyone on this site. I have been watching the postings over the past few months and have learned a lot about Bulgaria and Drs. Grodinski and Petrov. My procedure is July 27. I have had MS for 25 years now and have balance, fatigue, sensation, walking problems among lots more too numerous to list. I have used a cane outside for the past few years and a walker sometimes when I'm by myself. I have been to Westmount and had the doppler ultrasound done (April 28) and have reflux in both vertebral vein's. I am from New Brunswick, Canada and will staying at the Greenville Hotel starting on the 24th and departing on the 31st for Neslebar on the Black Sea for a holiday. Hope to meet anyone from this site when I am in Bulgaria. Warmest regards to all, djh.

djh,

See you there on the 27th... Coming in from Toronto on the 26th and leaving on Aug 1st...

Got dx'd Nov 2008ish, went on Copaxone for 6 months (dropped it like a bad habit - no regrets since as it only made things worse)...

Balance, Walking, Fatigue are my biggest issues.

Greenville 25th to 31st

Post by Kar »

Hi Djh and Taps,
I'll be arriving from Victoria on the 25th with my husband and daughter. At the Greenville for 6 nights (25th to 31). My procedure is the 27th. Looking forward to meeting both of you! This site is so helpful; it's great to hear how wonderful the staff at the hospital are. I was diagnosed with spms last year, but have had ms since 1991.

HI Koko,

I'm so glad to hear that you finally got your turn! It is crazy when they touch the area near the ear and you can feel the pain that you have. As I had seen several doctors telling them I thought I had an ear infection and they kept telling me that I didn't. When the dr. puts that wire there... boy it was confirmed that it all had to do with my MS... I know exactly what your talking about when you mention the food down there, it isn't bad but not great either... and to eat cold food doesn't make you want to finish your plate... On our last day we did get to go the the restuarant at the hotel and have our last meal there... boy can I tell you that was so good to eat something hot... I'm trying to make my next appointment for this coming October.. just waiting for them to confirm to me my date as I do believe I will have to go under once again... I had refused to stent as I didn't have enough to go on and there was alot of contraversay on that subject as to the types of stents they were using compare to the one's in Poland... I will have to better educate and prepare myself before getting them put in.. This week I have had troubles with my leg and felt some coldness back in my feet.. I do know that they had only unblocked me on my left side at 50% in two area's but they had suggested to me the stents.. So I tried without and I guess I should have listened to the Dr's advise... I'm happy to hear your seeing some kind of difference. It's not a miracle and it's only baby steps that will happen at the beginning but rest assure it can only get better...

take care and if anyone of you had the stents placed in please give me some advise on how you have been dealing with this and if you feel it in your veins and anything else I should know.

Thanks
Donna
