Re: Chronic Pain and pain pump
This is discouraging, because I have been thinking of asking for a pain pump. The system has now become very tough on oral pain patients, always threatening to discontinue our meds and and leave us hanging cold turkey over the slightest infraction of pain clinic rules (even when it's not your fault)...

Re: Half of people with MS ‘accused of being drunk’
When I went to the ER with severe pain, spasms and lack of mobility, I was treated quite abusively. They said there was nothing wrong and that I was faking it. They screamed at me to get up and walk! I didn't have a diagnosis and was scared to death at what was happening to my body. They demoralized...

Re: Pain and the Feds?
I do take D3. I was not given the number, only told it was low and I needed to double.

Re: Pain and the Feds?
It starts with pain in my throat, goes into my neck, and travels to different parts of my body at different times. Lately I have been getting a great deal of pain in my feet and legs. I do take Gabapentin, but it only goes so far.

Re: Pain and the Feds?
I have just had results from my Vitamin D test, and the Neuro said I need to double my D intake. Hopefully, it will help.

Pain and the Feds?
My pain has increased, so I increased my Oxycodone but still stayed within prescription limits. When I called for my renewal of the med, they mailed the hardcopy to my pharmacy for me. But when I tried to get my prescription, they said that I had to wait another week! My husband called the doctor's ...

Abuse of MS Patients?
Three years ago, I went to the emergency room with very little ability to move, lots of spasms that I'd never had before, very severe pain episodes, and no idea what was wrong with me. I was frightened at what was happening to my body, but tried to remain calm. They told me it was "just anxiety...

Re: Skipping a Shot Once a Week
Over time, I found my MS symptons getting worse while skipping a shot once a week. I am now skipping a shot once every ten days and seeing how that will work. If I can't skip some shots, I will have to go off of Copaxone because of skin breakdowns--can't tolerate a shot every single day. Too bad, be...

Re: Skipping a Shot Once a Week
I have come out of my relapse. I believe that this is going to work for me. My neurologist agreed grudgingly to this (only 6 shots per week) because she knows that the insurance balked up on the 3x/wk dose. It's either this or go off Copaxone altogether, which I don't want to do because it has worke...

Re: Skipping a Shot Once a Week
This makes me feel better. I really do have to skip that weekly shot. I'm having a lot less trouble on Copaxone than off of it so I guess I'll stick with it.

Re: Is this a relapse?
It sounds like a relapse to me. After 2 and 1/2 years on Copaxone, I am having my first major relapse (i have had a couple of mini-relapses). My mobility and balance are way south, and some pain has returned. I am glad you are coming out of it now. That gives me hope.

Skipping a Shot Once a Week
My insurance is refusing to pay for the new dosage of Copaxone of 40 mg. 3xwk. Since my skin is a mess (and I rotate!) and I am running out of shot sites, I have been skipping one shot a week for about three months. It adds up to the same amount of medicine I would be getting if I were able to get t...

Re: Lower Back Pain Qnd Restricted Movement?
I am in a relapse and have a lot of pain settled into my lower back. But it isn't anything a chiropractor can handle, because it is due to MS, not the type of back pain I used to see a chiropractor for. I do not yet know what to do about it.

Re: Copaxone at 40 mg
I am looking forward to injecting only 3x/wk. My skin is a mess from every day, and I rotated like they said. I don't think I'll have trouble with remembering to shoot three times/wk. My husband will help me remember the schedule.

Re: Generics, 40 mg. Copaxone and Teva
I am happy to switch to the 3x/wk 40 mg copaxone, because I am running out of shot sites. My skin is a mess!
