I think Boopieup has left the building as far as this thread is concerned. She felt the need to express her feelings about the procedure and its results. She was in much better shape before the procedure than she is now. Is this due to the passage of time in which she would have been progressing any...

Ozark: I really feel for you, because when this first came out you were very excited and optimistic about it. For you to see no improvements seems so unfair. I know life isn't fair or unfair. We just have to live it, however it is dealt to us, with grace. And I'm not knocking Farmville, I know the c...

Although I'm sorry about her lost hope, I wasn't aware that you guys had gotten her irregular heartbeat issue straightened out. Maybe that's something of a silver lining? Thanks for the positive thoughts. Her PCVs are still there, but the cardiologist advised the IR to have an anesthesiologist in o...

Dear TIMS members: It has been almost a year since I read about CCSVI on this website. In that time, Boopie has gone from having the no hope for stopping her progression to slight hope with reservations to brief joy at short term results and back to zero hope. Let me explain. She was scanned for CCS...

That is good news, Ali888. My wife will be going in for her second procedure in a couple of weeks. Her first angio had good results, which unfortunately lasted only a week and then she relapsed and continued to progress. The IR will not consider stents this next time around as he is concerned about ...

Where are the Stentmakers?

I heard a while back that Dake was working with a stent company to design a stent specifically for the jugular veins. It was to be available possibly 2011 (from what I recall). Is anyone aware of progress being made on this front. Until there is an "on-label" stent for use in jugulars, IR'...

Good luck on your journey! Things go so fast, it'll be over before you know it. Hoping for the best possible outcome.

P.S. Peg, just saw your post -- obviously I'm not a doctor, but I've been engrossed in arrhythmia for about ten years now. If you've had monitoring you should know whether you have PVCs or PACs, and you should know if your issue is something that is normal for you, as it is for many people. Most of...

Thanks guys. I believe our doc is being a bit conservative with Boop because he is afraid of anything going wrong and it coming back on him. It was indeed frustrating and heartbreaking, but we will go on. What else can we do? We will see a local cardiologist and hopefully get "signed off" ...

This is not an happy post (sorry guys). Yesterday Sharon and I went for her 2nd venogram/angio. The process, as difficult as it is, is getting easier. The Hoyer lift really helps in getting her transferred and not landing on the floor. We shelled out the $300 for a medical transport and she was on t...

Could a blockage in the azygous be so bad that it blocks up the whole system, so that the right jugular was affected only because nothing was flowing? I am thinking of plumbing pipes...if it's at a standstill below, it'd be at a standstill further up, even if nothing is physically blocking it at th...

Re: for those afraid to stent

Hi, Dr. Sclafani. About 2 weeks my wife had her right IJV balloned in 3 places and experienced some drastic improvements for about a week, then she reverted to her previous state. We are going to have to schedule another MRV and repeat the process again. Question #1 If you were treating a suspected...

Re: Once is never enough

[quote="LR1234"]...is there anything else in the procedure i.e the fluid via IV or the dye being pumped round the body that could be also contributing to making us feel better? quote] Boopie says "It's the drugs!" Sorry to hear about you guys needing repeat service. It isn't so m...
