My jugular stenosis...update
Just a quick note to update what has been going on since I saw Dr. Haake. I had an appointment with a neurosurgeon, and he immediately took interest in my vascular abnormalities. He was almost excited, because he said he had just attended a seminar on vascular outflow problems (I am paraphrasing). H...

Thank you all for your kind words of support. For the record, I tried sleeping in a recliner, that kept my head elevated. Not only did I not sleep well, but I had the same symptoms regardless. And now new symptom has just reared it's ugly head. Heart palpatations are now occurring for the first five...

My most pressing symptoms are pressure at the base of my skull, fatigue, brain fog, and every morning I feel like death (headache, nasea). No, I have no transverse sinus on the left (right on the scan). I have not contacted anyone, although I would be very interested in Dr. D's opinion. Unfortunatel...

A few pics from my scan by Dr. Haacke
I am still waiting on the 3-d images from Dr Haacke, but these scans are pretty telling. For those who don't know, I only have one internal jugular. If you look at the very bright part of the top of the jugular, then go about one inch down, you can see where the bone from the vertebrae is pinching t...

Just returned from Dr. Haake's MRI study
Well, Yesterday I made the less than enjoyable drive to Detroit (not my fav city) and had my MRI/MRV done at Harper Hospital. I must say, once I got through the sea of people in the lobby, and went through the tunnel to the MRI reseach wing, all went smoothly. Paula was a real peach, and was very ki...

About the neuro's not liking this procedure. Of COURSE they don't. We are their paychecks...never get better and keep coming back. They aren't fond of giving their best customers over to a surgeon and having a problem actually fixed. Sorry, I am a little jaded when it comes to neurologists, whom I c...

I talked to Dr. Haacke today. He seems very interested in my case because I only have one jugular and it is so severely compressed. Also because I have no diagnosis. I am scheduled for scans next Tuesday the 10th. For those who haven't seen my scans : http://www.thisisms.com/ftopict-8515.html Hopefu...

Sorry, Joan. I have not received a diagnosis yet. Every Dr. I see says something different. I just want these symptoms gone!!! I hope my condition can shed some light on this problem. Some Dr's say there is nothing they can do about the pinched jugular, and others say if I were in a college town, so...

Dr. Haacke and his study...I need more info please
I volunteered for Dr Haacke's study of narrowed jugular, and after seeing a few of my scans, he wants me to come for detailed imaging. Honestly, someone e-mailed me out of the blue, because I had posted somewhere on the internet a year ago about pinched jugulars, and told me about this site. In a we...

If the pictures I've seen cause problems, then I'm dead!
Three years of symptoms (cognitive difficulties, tinnitus, fatigue) and no answers. My scans show I only have one jugular instead of two, and the one I have is severely pinched. No answers from any Dr's so far, so maybe this can be a first step for me. Check these scans out. I hope this works ;) htt...
