Re: Regulation of Endothelial Barrier Function

I agree with you, Cheer. I remember discussing the PreMISE study vis-a-vis reperfusion injury after restoring blood flow last year at ISNVD (Krakow). All "the docs" agreed that is 1st guess about what they saw. (I know they did not fully restore flow >75%, and other problems with their conclusions, ...

Re: MANDRYK: It's time to abandon liberation therapy

Nickel in the nitenol stents is allergenic for many. triggers hyperplasia. can be blocked with radioactive threads ie brachytherapy, but you have a 2 week window to catch it...Only non-reactive stent is platinum apparently and you need to rid your body of other metals first if you can. cost of pure ...

Re: MANDRYK: It's time to abandon liberation therapy

Siskin seemed to refer to several other clinical trials that are about to start in his interview with Sharon Richardson........ Dake's is still awaiting FDA approval but not sure if it is funded for a whole 200. Maybe SK can team up with him to get that number which is an important mark per FDA??

Re: vagus nerve compression in CCSVI in MS

Cece, I saw your post and was reminded of something else about circulation to the hands. When I was young we lived in the Andes @14,000 feet. One of the responses we learned that the body has to hypoxia caused by high altitude is to constrict blood supply to the hands and feet. Maybe the immediate r...

Re: Sure glad I didn't wait!

Was treated in 2010. Glad I didn't wait either. Was using a cane or scooter prior. haven't used either since a few months after my procedure. Able to work productively again. able to walk around the neighborhood. able to do cooking and crafts. travel and plan for a living future. I have my life back!

My family doc says of neurologists, "we don't need 'em, that is why they are freaking out over this whole CCSVI thing"

Re: CCSVI is real, and IRs should treat it with venoplasty-

Thanks for the kind words, Cheer! I'm so excited by the work Dr Zivadinov spoke of, and the plans at Stanford. We need to get these guys the $$ they need to do this work now!! Oneye, you are right to point to Jim Reekers counter argument. This is a replay of their "gloves off" debate at the plennery...
