Post Op instructions after Liberation Treatment

Hi all, I finally have a date for the Liberation treatment (I am going to Dr. Arata in L.A.). I am still quite mobile and am hoping to also have this trip double as a bit of vacation since it is taking the place of one :) . My question to those of you who have had the procedure are twofold. 1) Did y...

Dr Arata also told me the same about using the larger balloons and therefore the lower re-stenosis rate.
The fact remains that re-stenesis is possible and I hope to find out what will be charged should a return trip be neccessary.

I can shed some light on the costs. The procedure is $8000 as already stated here by a couple people. The MRV is an extra $1000 to $1550 (required unless you already have one) There is also a consultation fee of $250 Above prices in clinic without insurance. There are 2 doctors doing the procedure (...

I also called the Pacific group. I am looking forward to see how your treatment went. I wish you best of luck. I did not yet book as I am uncomfortable with not knowing which of the 10 places I may end up, not to mention not knowing who will be doing the procedure. I wonder how well they have it set...

I finally broke down and emailed Albany on the general timeframe I could expect an appointment. I did this as I can get into 2 facilities in Europe one the first week in Dec and the other probably sooner. I was wanting to go to Albany but not if it is a couple of months longer to wait. I initially c...

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with Albany. When they found out that I had 2 venoplasty procedures already, Dr. Siskin declined to treat me or even to see me. He apparently is concerned about following anyone else's prior work (he specifically referred to those MSer's who "foolishly wen...

Price?

I had the procedure 9th July. Angioplasty in both JV. Nice improvements for 10 days. Two days after I returned to Canada all my old symptoms are back. It looks to me like restenosis, I will get a date for October to go back. I know it worked, so I hope that stents will do the trick. A while ago I r...

Another one waiting for call

I called the end of June but no definitive date yet. Sounds like it may be a month or so before I even get a date yet by the timetables so far posted here.
