Antibiotics for Treating MS in Canada
I have read Dr.David Wheldon's recommendations for treating Chlamydia Pneumoniae, often present in MS patients. I have downloaded the .pdf from his site, which inludes a literature review and sample dosing schedule. Now comes the hard part. I have to find a doctor who will prescribe these antibiotic...

Re: BIONESS L300 Like NEW
An OT should be able to configure it. So I would suggest going to an occupational centre (covered by insurance) that uses/sells them, and having them set it up for you. Although, they may get annoyed at setting up the expensive equipment (not covered by insurance) for free, which they are trying to ...

Re: smoking and ccsvi
Well, I had the procedure done. As much as swore to myself that I was keeping my expectations realistic, secretly I was hoping to to fall into the elusive less than 10% category like tiltawhirl. Instead, I seem to have had an experience like jphector. I am happy I went, since otherwise I would have ...

Re: smoking and ccsvi
I have reduced over the past few months, in preparation for the procedure. At the end of last year my habit had creeped up to about a pack a day. I have had it down to about 6 cigs a day for months, but I seem to have hit a wall there. Sometimes I smoke less, but I just haven't been able to cut it o...

Re: smoking and ccsvi
I just read all of these posts. I am going for CCSVI treatment next week, and have been trying (and failing) to stop.I have been so full of self-hatred trying to quit. It was really nice to know I am not alone, and to read all of the humours and non-judgemental comments

Re: Those with positive results face significant challenges
Thank you so much for the reply! Honestly, I decided to get the procedure because I just couldn't stand the idea of wondering "what if" for the rest of my life. That and the research seemed promising, I have been following Zamboni's theory since 2009. I have always been cautious, waiting f...

Re: Those with positive results face significant challenges
Wow. I am scheduled to go for the procedure at Synergy Health Concepts in Californis, July 11th. I REALLY hope I have this kind of problem after! lol. Right now I have a limp and foot drop, fatigue, poor balance, cog fog etc. I am not expecting any improvement in walking, since I have had problems w...

Day 4 on Gilenya
I started Gilenya on Saturday. I don't know what I was expecting. I was a little fatigued the first couple of days. Other than that nothing has happened, good or bad. Just a not for anyone interested in starting.

Frustration and Relationships
I don't know what to do> Guess I am just reaching out to see if anyone else has had similar experiences. I have a boyfriend who is so supportive in terms of doing things for me. He does the cooking, shopping, takes care of the house. His support allows me to focus on my job and finishing my degree. ...

You are NOT a solo smoker!
I have been smoking for 13 years. I was dx with MS 2 years ago. Until I was dx, I never really thought seriously about quitting. Afterwards I thought about it a bit in during the initial shock, then forgot about it. My doctor and others would lecture me about quitting, and I would sheepishly nod and...

CCSVI in Canada: We need to Challenge the Status Quo
I have been observing the CCSVI debate since '09 and now I am just livid. Initially, I was skeptical of the CCSVI theory, and to some degree I still am. Nevertheless, I like many afflicted with MS, want to be able to explore all avenues. In my typical style, I have sought to educate myself as much a...

I totally hear you about the iphone thing. When I was shopping for a smart phone last summer I tried a bunch. I work for a communications company who was instrumental in launching the iphone to the Canadian market. All of my friends/co-workers have iphones and love them. For me, trying to use an iph...

Political Action
This message is aimed primarily at my fellow Canadians. The inaccessability of CCSVI screening and treatment, is a symptom of the restrictive and authoritative state power in this country. We need to resist the socialist agenda, which does not make things better for everyone. It makes things slightl...
