Jimmylegs... Why does the spinach need to be cooked? I put about two cups raw in my green juice daily.

Good to know that! Did you take anything for your appetite to come back?

Nope! It came back on it's own as my stress subsided. I think it was related to the stress. I did take extra mag. for the stress though.

citrate is decent but if you want to take more and be able to absorb it rather than getting the runs, then go for magnesium glycinate. Thanks Jimmylegs! So if I use the citrate because it helps with the bowels, how much would I be actually be absorbing from 250 mg? I think I might have to use both ...

hi lynne :) answered your magnesium question on the other topic. for the infection, appetite and sense of taste, i'd be taking a long hard look at zinc status. if you can get blood tests for serum zinc and serum magnesium then you'll have an idea how far you might have to go to get these levels opt...

any stressor including an attack can increase magnesium demand, driving down levels that may already be suboptimal. it's a downward spiral because the worse your status is, the easier it is to become negatively affected by difficult situations.
