Hi Anna,

Nice to meet you ! Thanks for your reply. You just mentioned in another thread on this forum that there is a newspaper article in Bulgaria about Bulagrian patients already having the treatment and successfully.. could somebody find us a link to that newspaper or article? That would be encouraging :)

Stent

Post by SofiaK »

I hope there's someone that can please, please offer some clues/answers.
I'm very concerned about getting the alloy stent placed in my veins if needed. A foreign substance. I'm so worried because I'm so sensiitive.

Has anyone here had stents placed? How long ago has this been done and how are you now??

Thank you for any help! :D

I had a huge surprise yesterday - I received a phone call from Euromedic Poland. They had a cancellation. I had been on the wait list since December and had already gone ahead with an appointment in June in Bulgaria.

I have now cancelled Bulgaria, and my flights, and will be in Katowice next Wednesday - talk about unexpected.

I am very happy to be going to see Drs Simka/Ludyga, although I had come to have complete faith in the Bulgarian system and was looking forward to seeing Sofia!

For those of you waiting, the appointment I have cancelled is on June 7 at Tokuda.

I'm sure there will be a TON of these kind of things happeneing as most people (myself included) are on two waiting lists - seems like we will take whatever one comes quicker!!

Take care and GOOD LUCK...all the best!

I'm from Sweden and I go to Bulgaria on 27th of April. I'm looking forward to finally find out if I have some problem with my veins. I'm curious if someone of you are going to be there at the same time as me?
If you are it will be nice to know for fun. Maybe we meet there and we can change some expirience with each other.

I think the reason the examination in Bulgaria is so relativly expencive is because the use venogram to diagnose, the gold standard described by Zamboni.

Examination with venogram is, examination with venogram is in itself an "operation"/procedure, and they will preforme the corrective surgery at the time of the examination if they find a stenosis.

This might have been answerd before. Well I am having it done, and I am very excited about it :D
Good luck to all of us, lets stay in touch!
