Hi
I'm very impressed with you both for taking the bit between your teeth and driving there. Of course I wish you all the very very best with your procedure Liva - don't worry it really is a breeze.
I am a whole lot better, I week after my liberation, not perfect, but life has become livable.
I heard that Poland is really slow to drive through - so take it easy - all the very best to you

long day

Post by livabird »

Hi all,
after a very long day that started at 3:30am, we have stopped over just outside of Hanover Germany.
We have been through England, France, Belgium, Holland and now staying in Germany for the night.
We will head to Poland in the morning.
Livabird is out cold at the moment, real trooper to do this long journey.
On the up side our Luftansa flight has been cancelled tomorrow, So we made the right decision and we will get a full refund.

We had a great dinner at a Bavarian restaurant. The weather has been in the 20's and very sunny

Well time to check out for the evening as i am shattered from all the driving.
Will update tomorrow on our arrival to Katowice

SO GLAD YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY AND THAT YOU MADE THE RIGHT DECISION. BULGARIA JUST SENT ME A DATE IN JULY AND I WILL BE KEEPING IT UNTIL I KNOW FOR SURE IF I CAN FLY TO POLAND. SO MUCH TO WORRY ABOUT. GETTING THERE WAS THE LEAST OF MY CONCERNS A WEEK AGO.

second day of journey

Post by livabird »

Thanks for the kind words Annad, somethime people forget about the family members also dealing with MS. It is so terrible for the person with MS dont get me wrong, but the people around are also affected.
I would do anything to help Jayne and this terrible disease.

Anyways on to day 2, we just woke up after the best sleep both me and Livabird have has for months.....
We went to breakfast and wow... it was amazing.... fresh fruit, egs, fresh bread all kinds of meat and cheese.....
We are just getting ready to head off and next post should be from katowice.

Our flight is cancelled so we made the right decision, and besides if not for the volcano, we would not have experienced what we have so far. Plus we will get a full refund on our flight 8)

Anyways hope everyone is well and most important, i hope flights begin to operate so that everyone gets a change... Fingers crossed for you Jaguar
