Question for Polish patients treated with stents....

Post by Donnchadh »

If you went to Poland for the liberation procedure, and had a stent implanted: were you put on any drugs (anti-clotting, etc.) post op?

If yes, what were they? And for how long?

I just had a balloon procedure (which re-stenois'ed) and was on Plavik starting on the day of the procedure and going for 30 days.

I got 1 stent. I was injecting Clexane (40 mg) for 60 days after the procedure.
It is normal that you might get different treatment. I did not have any problems with that. Just...injecting is not my biggest hobby :)

Hi
I wrote about this here
http://www.thisisms.com/ftopic-10953-30.html

It's the top item on page 3

As I mentioned we are going to Dr Gilhooly at the Essential Health Clinic in Glasgow and will ask for blood tests to see if Iza can come off these anti-clotting agents in favour of Omega 3 or similar and will update accordingly.
Best Regards Kevin
