Hard to believe 18 + days ago I was totally numb, fatigued, hardly able to transfer, feeling weaker than a double digit on the EDSS scale, living in a cloud of hopelessness with a disease that offered nothing but increasing debilitation.
BUT all that has changed, and is constantly changing ...

- SENSORY FUNCTION improved almost immediately, fatigue gone, numbness replaced by the odd weird feeling of circulation being cut off but disappearing in a short time. The cloud of hopelessness has been replaced by a drive of determination, a determination to live life the way God intended.

- MOTOR FUNCTION is slower to react with improved function but showing that the wait is worth it. The hope is there for seeing further improvements in walking ability, standing strength and gait coordination. Pre procedure I was an 8.0 becoming an 8.5 EDSS. Post procedure I am more like a 7.0 - 6.5 EDSS. Post procedure evaluation is self assessed based on actual ability. Definitely heading in the right direction. Another example of Secondary Progressive becoming Secondary 'Regressive', daily improving! Liberated: Not only myself but slowly my wife and others who are constrained by my disability. What I am now able to do they don't have to. Thanks to doctors who put patients' well being first, CCSVI patient BC 1 feels more like BC WON! I am so thankful.

Thanks Gordon. Please tell me, was the procedure done in BC (British Columbia) ? Was it only ballooning or with stents?

Gordon, this is really graet, you bring hope to many who are waking up to the possibility of 'regressing' rather than 'progressing'. Please keep us posted as you continue to reclaim your life.
