It is great that the issues of expedited clinical studies and funding were raised. Too bad that the procedure was referred to as the "miracle cure" (he didn't get that from Dr. Zamboni or any other doctor involved in CCSVI treatment or testing).

...realized that my post may have sounded negative (re "miracle cure") and that was not intended. It is a big step forward to have this brought up in Parliament-- good for David Angus!

Too early to say 'cure' ..but the word will turn heads.. and hopefully those heads will turn towards the vascular/IR community for answers.

Great news. The fed gov't just announced 550 million for Detroit to build
new bridge maybe we could ask for 1 million for Dr Haake's research.

Sorry, I haven't read the comments before mine...

Lately it seems that everyday there's yet another hospital, another Dr "shut down." There is so much I want to contribute but my time and energy is limited.
I agree with Joan, GO LOCAL!. Personally, I have not been successful in this endeavour.
I did some preliminary research today re: the ... See MoreOntario Human Rigihts Code. I'm not a lawyer, but it looks to me like we have at least the grounds to access the Human Rights Legal Support Centre located here: http://www.hrlsc.on.ca/en/index.htm
I'll post this in other venues as well. I'm not sure it's in our best interests to discuss this in an open public forum.

nicely done Senator Angus. :D

This is so encouraging. But still it disgusts me that qualified and respected doctors have to go to such lengths to avoid detection

seems to me that those that oppose .....are that close ....to losing :P
