I am petrified. Mortified. Stupefied.

Post by ndwannabe »

I got an e-mail from Dr. Kostecki to be seen at the end of May 8O

I did not expect it so soon - I just e-mailed them this Monday!

Now, don't get me wrong - I want it. I am going. But man, am I surprised by my own reaction...

I have to make speedy arrangements at work... at school... (yes, the fatigued and limpy me still tries to do it all). I have to pull the money (not even telling you how - I certainly do not have spare bundles of $10,000 lying around).

Somebody, hold me...

There aren't many people who would carry on despite being 'fatigued and limpy'. Comes to show how resourceful and courageous you are. You know you will manage this one too. Good luck, I'm happy for you :D

Huh! Indeed :) Everything that happens happens for a reason, right?

Exciting! I think fast is good. You know alot already, not like this is all new to you.
Sorry for the question, but where is Dr. K? part of the Poland team?
They are doing stents there, correct?
Wish I could go with you. Will you travel alone?
Congrats!
Rose ;)

Doctor Kostecki is in Tychy, Poland. He is either a student or a collegue of Dr. Simka (people say they saw Dr. K when Dr. S was performing procedures - not sure if he was assisting or learning or both)

They will recommend stents if they see the need, but will not force the issue. I am weird. I want stents. I am more afraid of re-stenosis than the stent migration (stupid, I know. Somehow somewhere I still have this teenage gene in my body that says "THIS can not happen to me" :D )

I will travel alone, my husband could not his paperwork on time (well, there is no paperwork that can happen in two weeks  ). I'll manage.

Half of the time I am excited, half of the time I think I am crazy for even thinking about doing all this.

"What if's" are swarming in my head

I love my stents. The reading I have done re: Simka sounds like they are really fine tuning the stents.
I am sure he was learning, watching, studying. You can never know enough and every case is different.
Good luck in your journey. Can you keep us posted?

That is excellent nd! All the best to you. (I, not so secretly, would prefer to go alone)

I have to agree about the rapidity of it being a good thing. I have been stewing for Poland since December. I actually pushed it back a bit when I was referred for treatment in BC. Now I go June 4th, and am on a slow, but rising boil. The suspense is killing me. (figuratively)

I sent you PM. did you get it? What is the difference between the Sent and the OutBox in the PM screen?
Drives me nuts. I keep sending PMs to myself.

Hi Rose,

Outbox has not yet been read, Sent means it has been read. (I sometimes don't read them when I have no time to write - so that people do not think I'm aloof!)
